Wing Tyun Junior Kung-Fu Class

Our Junior Kung-Fu programme provides an ideal introduction into the Martial Arts world for Students aged 8 to 14.

The core of the training is based on the Wing Tyun programme that provides practical Self Defence, but is also complimented by moves from other Kung-Fu systems. Therefore the student can progress at a later stage to our Adult Wing Tyun programme or use their knowledge as a base for exploring other Chinese Martial Arts.

The instruction allows for the individual to learn at their own pace, but with the motivations of goal setting and combining fun with fitness.

Besides Martial Arts skill, the benefits that can be acheived through this training include greater self confidence, flexibility, improved fitness, awareness and self discipline.

Classes will include warm up exercises and stretching for flexibility, pad drills for skill, coordination and fitness. Kung Fu forms, kicking and punching drills, partner exercises and games involving the techniques they have learnt.

Attention is always placed on safety and the Student and Instructors are all fully insured.

Grading System

Students progress through Sash Gradings from 'White Sash' to 'Junior Black Sash'. Progression between the belts is monitored with 'Star Gradings' at no cost, and these serve both to keep the Student motivated and to set targets.
